Competence Center
eurofactura’s Competence Centers consolidate expertise on key questions surrounding electronic invoicing and its integration into digital business processes. They form the substantive core of the association’s work: this is where regulatory, technical, and organizational developments are analyzed, contextualized, and assessed for their impact on businesses and public administration. The goal is to establish a reliable foundation for advancing e-invoicing and to effectively strengthen the interests of users.
The Competence Centers bring together experts from technology, standardization, law, taxation, and operational practice. This interdisciplinary perspective makes it possible to thoroughly assess legal requirements, technical standards, and European initiatives and to clearly explain their implications for businesses. At the same time, the Competence Centers facilitate dialogue with policymakers, public authorities, and standardization bodies, helping to make complex regulatory and technical developments easier to understand.
As specialized focus areas, the Competence Centers complement the work of eurofactura’s Industry Centers. While the latter define sector-specific requirements, the Competence Centers address overarching cross-cutting topics. Together, both structures lay the foundation for well-informed advocacy on behalf of users and for promoting open, interoperable, and practical solutions for electronic invoicing processes in Germany and Europe.
